It was great to meet up with many of you at the 2018 Tionól. Hope that you were all sufficiently inspired and have been playing away refining and perfecting all the ornaments and stylistic improvements you picked up from the workshops. It was a very successful weekend, and much fun was had.
Please come out and join us again this weekend. We can debrief a bit, share pictures, recordings and have some time to look forward to what things we want to take on next. There were some good ideas generated and discussed at the tionól and it would be great to follow up on them.
Also time to get and AGM sometime soon and elect officers (but don’t let that scare you away!) We have some new members as well and would like to welcome them. Bring your pipes for a few tunes as well!
If you would like to come early (@1:00) for an individual lesson or pipe repair/maintenance please RSVP to let me know.
Hope to see you Sunday!

At the September meeting, we decided that it’s time for an extended get together to focus on maintaining your set and doing some of the work that often gets put off. To that end, Tom Quinn, our current Chairman, has offered to host a workshop at his place on Whidbey Island. We’ll convene on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10 o’clock. Phil White will be on hand to help with reed adjustment, and there will be tools and materials available. If you’d like to make a wooden box- type case we could do that also. There will be a session in the evening after dinner. If you’d like to stay over, let Tom know. There is floor space and room outside to pitch a tent if that is more to your liking. Please contact Tom Quinn if you are interested in attending and for further information. Tom’s Place is located at: 8109 Autumn Lane, Clinton, WA (Located in Sandy Cove, a few miles from the ferry landing) Tom’s cell is: 425-864-0993 or e-mail: email@example.com Let us know if you need anything in particular. Should be fun, and hope you can make it!

With the end of summer approaching, it’s time to reconvene the Club and re-establish contact with many of you. To that end, the committee has planned an event to get you out for a night of music in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle.
Our Vice Chairman, Phil White, has arranged for us to take the stage at the Ould Triangle, as an alternative to our usual monthly meeting. Please plan to come, bring your pipes to share a few favorite tunes, and invite other musicians to join you as well. Everyone is welcome!
Music begins at 9:00 but come early to socialize a bit and re-connect with other members of the club. This year we’d like to try some variations to the regular Sunday afternoon meetings, and would love increase attendance at IPC events. But especially, we would like to see you there, because it has been awhile!
Hope to see you SATURDAY night at the
9736 Greenwood Ave. N.
Cheers and all the best,
Tom Quinn, Chairman
Phil White, Vice Chairman
Rod Margason, Treasurer
spring has come at last, and we’re ready to move on from warm memories of the recent Tionól to preparing for the club’s annual outing at the Northwest Folklife Festival on Saturday, May 24th at 11.00 AM.
In the meantime it is high time to elect and appoint a new committee. Despite our best efforts at the meeting last October, billed as the AGM, the attendance was deemed insufficient to conduct the necessary election of the committee that day.
So, please do come along on April 13 and make your voice heard.
The Meeting will be held at the welcoming home of Ken Klettke in West Seattle.
